What are the Benefits of Water Treatment Plant ?

Water is a necessary component of life. Without it, you would die. You use water for the daily maintenance of your body. Drinking water quality is important for health and wellness. Water purification can be an aid to removing harmful contaminants from the drinking water supply, but it can also introduce harmful carcinogenic elements into the drinking water supply that can become toxic over time and have unpleasant or dangerous side effects.

Toxin Removal

Different types of water purification systems remove various toxins such as heavy metals, chlorine, fluoride, aluminum, pesticides and other pollutants that may be present in the local water supply. The level of aluminum in water is not regulated in the public drinking water supply.

The U.S. Geological Service notes that "aluminum is the second most abundant metallic element in the Earth's crust after silicon." Aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer's disease in a study by the Center for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases at the University of Toronto, Canada.

Bacteria--- both normal and harmful---have been found in the drinking water supply. According a study in the journal "Water, Air, & Soil Pollution," free-living amoebae and amoebae-resisting bacteria are present in drinking water and are unaffected by water treatment plants. Another toxin in the water supply originates with the chlorine used in treatment plants to clean water. Chlorine produces carcinogenic by-products that are harmful to humans, according to researchers at Tel Aviv University.
